Lemn Sissay is one of Britain’s best-loved poets and a former Chancellor of Manchester University. For the past decade, he has composed a short poem as dawn breaks each morning. Witty, life-affirming and full of wonder, these poems chronicle his own battle with darkness and are fuelled with resilience and defiant joy.
An ode to morning rituals and carving out space each day for reflection and creativity, several of these poems appear on streets and buildings across the UK.
